Teaming up with the Carolina Panthers: Zero-Gravity Chair

Tyndall Pedic might be known for our one-of-a-kind mattress, but the Carolina Panthers have fallen in love with our Zero-Gravity chair too! “Teaming up with Tyndall Pedic Health Solutions continues to keep our athletes exceeding their health and fitness goals,” says Dr. Joshua Kollman, the chiropractor that works with the team, “the Zero-Gravity Chair has taken our Active Recovery Center to a whole new level.”

He means that literally! This incredible chair works to decompress the spine and reduce pressure on the body. By placing the players in a weightless position, the chair allows their their bodies can relax, stretch, and recover for the next tough day of training camp.

But it doesn’t stop there! The chair even goes to a position known as Trendelenburg, which lowers the body to a position that raises your hips and legs above the rest of your body, allowing the heart to pump blood easier. This position aids in respiratory functions and improves spine alignment.

So why do the players love this chair? Simple. We asked the players to give a number to their pain level, on a scale from 1 to 10, before they sat in the chair. Some players said 5 or 6, where others said they could reach a 10 or 11 some days. After receiving therapy in the chair, most of the players said that their pain had reduced by nearly 50% in less than 30 minutes! Even more amazing, these effects lasted for several hours after the players had left the chair!

According to Ryan Vermillion, the Head Athletic Trainer for the team, the players now wait in line just to be able to use the chair for a little while at training camp!

We are proud to be partnering with the Panthers to reduce pain and to help the players feel their best for a great season ahead!
